KeNHA Offices Athi River Construction

The development of the KeNHA Nairobi Regional Hub in Athi River was designed to decentralize the management of the Northern Corridor. It served as a critical operational node that streamlined road oversight for the South Rift and Nairobi regions.

Project Description

The project involved the construction of a modern, multi-story administrative complex. The primary structure housed a command center for High-Speed Weigh-In-Motion (HSWIM) systems, which allowed for real-time axle load monitoring. Civil works included the expansion of auxiliary lanes at the Athi River weighbridge and the development of a regional maintenance depot. The facility incorporated sustainable features, such as a standalone solar power grid and an elevated 10,000-liter water storage system, ensuring 24-hour operational resilience.
